What it is

CJC-1295 is a modified GHRH fragment designed for extended action. Some marketed products add a drug-affinity complex to prolong half-life further; product identity varies substantially between sellers.

How it works

It stimulates pituitary GHRH receptors, raising growth hormone and IGF-1 concentrations over a prolonged window compared with native GHRH.

What it has been studied for

  • Growth hormone axis pharmacology in early-phase studies

Safety and side effects

Early studies reported injection-site reactions and flushing. Sustained elevation of growth hormone and IGF-1 has theoretical risks that have not been studied long term in healthy people.

Warnings and contraindications

Not approved for human use in any major jurisdiction.
Prohibited in sport. Also flagged in regulatory compounding reviews.
Products labelled CJC-1295 vary in actual composition; identity cannot be assumed.

Compounded / research status

Sold under 'research use only' framing and sometimes through compounding. Neither route constitutes regulatory approval or a safety assessment for human use.

Investigational uses

No completed programme supports the uses commonly promoted commercially.
