Transparency is part of the method
This platform exists because peptide information is unusually noisy: approved medicines, experimental compounds, and unregulated products are discussed in the same breath. Our editorial rules are published so they can be checked.
Editorial policy
Peptide Ledger publishes educational and editorial content about peptide science. We do not sell products, accept affiliate placements, or publish sponsored content. No commercial party influences what appears here or how it is characterised.
Every page states regulatory status and evidence level before describing effects. Where evidence is thin, contested, or limited to animal models, we say so in the first lines rather than the footnotes.
Methodology
Peptide profiles follow a fixed template so compounds can be compared without implying equivalence. Status and evidence labels are assigned independently: a compound can be widely sold and simultaneously have no meaningful human data.
Evidence levels reflect study design and replication, not effect size or novelty. A single positive animal study never raises a rating.
Sourcing standards
We prefer primary sources: regulatory documents and communications, prescribing information, trial registry entries, and peer-reviewed publications. Preprints are labelled as preprints and conference abstracts as abstracts.
Retailer pages, forums, influencer content, and secondary blogs are not used as sources for factual claims about status or evidence.
Medical disclaimer
Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, a dosing protocol, or an endorsement of any product. Many compounds described here are not approved for human use in any jurisdiction, and some are prohibited in sport.
A 'research use only' label is a commercial designation and not a safety assessment. Decisions about medicines belong with a qualified clinician who knows your circumstances.
Corrections
We correct errors openly. Substantive corrections are noted on the affected page along with the date, and status or evidence changes trigger a fresh review date.

Editorial disclaimer
This site is educational and does not provide medical advice, dosing protocols, or treatment recommendations. Regulatory status and evidence strength differ sharply between compounds. A “research use only” label does not indicate that a product is appropriate for human use. Decisions about medicines belong with a qualified clinician.
